Continuity of Practice Agreement
Permalink Closed

Hello everyone,

I am a IAB Certified bookkeeper in Wrexham. I have been trading as Wrexham Accounting Limited and looking for help for the Continuity of Practice Agreement. It is one of the documents required by IAB for the practice certificate and AML Supervision.

Thank you very much in advance and have a nice weekend all.

Gulden

Hi Gulden Do you mean that you are looking for someone to be your continuity or that you want help with the written agreement?

Hi Michelle,
I am looking for someone to be my continuity. I think a verbal agreement is enough for IAB as long as I provide the details of that person / company.

You should always get a written agreement. There are some key terms needed for continuity of practice. It is really important to get those cleared up.

Happy to help with this if you wanted to chat.

Thank you very much for your advice Phil. I confirmed with IAB as well. You are right. It has to be written. I still could not find anyone to be my continuity. :((

Have you approached local firms?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Hi Gulden

I would be willing to discuss it with you. You are not that far away from Manchester, and as long as we had plans in place for the transfer of information, I don't see that the distance is an issue. I would be more concerned with the types of clients you have, just make sure I have enough experience for those particular companies. EDIT - removed email address
