Hello all,

I'm Jo. I'm from Staffordshire and am currently training in Bookkeeping. I'm working and learning at the same time and am also juggling jobs as a Lunchtime Supervisor and Events Manager!

This forum was recommended to me by the company I'm training with, so I'm hoping to get some helpful hints and tips smile

Jo

STAFFORDSHIRE!!!! Not Cannock or Rugeley byt any chance? If so back slowly away from the PC, put all of those books back in their box and send them back to the training company. Do it now and nobody has to get hurt here.

Lol. Welcome to the forum Jo and good luck with your studies.

As Joanne mentions which qualification have you gone with?

Hi Guys,

Lol, thanks for the responses. At the moment I'm kind of being self-taught (if that makes sense) but I do have a rather large folder full of info to get through and have kindly been given a copy of "Sage for Dummies" by the person I'm doing some work for. He's a relative so no official course at the moment and obviously everything I do is checked!

Looking at possibly doing a course with South Staffs College next year - just need enough cash!

Shaun - Tamworth, so not far :)

I've just started a sniper rifle collection jar biggrin

Ok, you may be the potential opposition but for a taster course try ACCA-X which is free (although you have to pay for exams if you take them)... Its ony an introductory course but it will give you good foundations to get you started.

Here's a link : http://www.acca-x.com/global/en.html

Over 38,000 people have signed up with it since April.

Some of the greatest German engineering ever. The Tiger I. The engine was by Porsche... Don't think that it had the same sort of 0 to 60 as a 911 though!

Only ever driven a Boxster, briefly. Oh and that Cayenne they call a Porsche - nice drive, but ...... really! Ok - if someone gave me one, I wouldnt complain.

I always fancied driving a tank - until I found out how unbearably hot they are inside.

Hi Michele,

please start a seperate thread rather than posting your introduction in this one.

Your introdiuction should include a little about who you are, which qualification you took/are taking, etc. As its normally the anchorage point that people refer back to when gauging the level to pitch answers to questions.

I'll delete the posts in this thread once you have made a new one,

kindest rregards,

Shaun.

So you decided not to venture south then John?

Sounds like BKN is expanding again - dating site;  who needs the BBC bake off and now beauty pageants!!!!!

Reckon you could write a book of dodgy jokes John - still makes me laugh though!

Lol Joanne

Moving south still on the agenda (although not definite) but not likely to be until May ish next year now.

I have a whole repertoire of dodgy jokes but it takes a trigger to remind me of one. It was your mention of tanks that reminded me of that one.
