Hi all,

A Client of mine goes to several trade fairs throughout the year - some near, some quite far away which involves an overnight stay. Is there a limit on what can be claimed for food/drink for them while they are there?

Also, at the end of the trade fairs, they sometimes go out as a team for "team building meals". Can these be claimed in the accounts. If yes, can the VAT be claimed back?

TIA

Hi
Is your client is a sole trader or a Limited company? Also when you say 'they' do you mean owner/employees or a few of the stall holders?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Hi,

She is a sole trader and the expenses would be for her and her staff.
