You can buy Instant 2011 from Amazon, but it's not cheap!

Or, you could buy Sage Instant 2015, then install on your computer and restore the 2011 backup. Then use your disk to upgrade the clients PC to 2015. It should work with their serial number and activation key. If it doesn't, then encourage the client to buy their own new 2015 version. They will need to buy it soon anyway as they are only backwards compatible for 5 years.

Hi Rachel
I know sage wont - unless you try really pushing them.

I probably shouldnt say this but cant you use their activations work? Slapped legs Joanne, you never heard it from me!!

There are a couple of peeps on here who might be able to help. John from Leyburn might be able to help - but not seen him around for AGES!!!! Post back in here in a couple of days if youve had no luck and I will PM you his details.

Sage may only be backwards compatible for 5 years but it doesnt mean you need to upgrade - if it aint broke and all that. Although Ive just had one Client manager networked v11 which was most definately broken and needed fixing and was a right old pain to sort! Sage instant for two user licence isnt that expensive so might be worth doing if your client doesnt mind - you just need to sell the benefits to him, I guess.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
