I've received a new set of clients who have sent me letters this week for partnership returns. The deadline is 10 days away and I'm struggling to get information from them.
Its too late for paper returns, and as I've still got no split, names of partners, etc. I'm hoping ill rfeceive everything on time.
All's I know is that the company's have only recently began trading so returns will be nil)
I've just discovered Andicia software, has anyone used it?
Can you give me pros and cons or is there better software to use?
And as it will be new software to me is it pretty self explanatory to use?
A few on here have used Andica, seen it recommended a few times. There was a biggish posting a few months ago about which software people use for various things, including time management, ct returns and CRM plus a pile of other stuff. Might be worth a route around the search screen for that one.

Also, if they have just approached you and aren't supplying nothing then it's wroth mentioning that with the best will in the world, you can't work miracles. Hope you are charging appropriately!

I have chased again , I really am stressing about these ones .
Never had a client receive a fine for being late before .
I've not increased charges for lateness , but worried I'll receive everything on last day :(
Hi Nicola
If you haven't done so before, I would go back and say if you haven't received everything by close of business today or Monday then they will miss the deadline and penalties will be applied.
Don't stress about it when it's their fault, but you absolutely need to build into your communications a reasonable deadline date for future SA periods, being much earlier than January. Plus I absolutely would do it now so it doesn't come back to bite. They have after all had MONTHS to get ready, so how can it be your fault.....unless you have not managed their expectations.
Read them the riot act.

I really don't like Andica, I found it difficult to use and I couldn't print off the forms I wanted. I can't recommend Tax Calc enough - the layout is exactly the same as a paper return and it does all the reports you need and the print outs are exactly like the paper return. I've used Tax Calc for filing partnership returns for a few years now. The helpine is brilliant too. The software is so easy to use, even for me!
It is a bit more expensive than Andica, I pay about £130ish to be able to file 10 partnership returns, you can also buy them indiviually for £50.00 or 5 for £80.00 - if you want the 10 then you have to phone them up as they don't have it listed on their website.
