Eww. Just noticed my profile has changed.  Got to over 2500 posts and now I'm down as a Master Bookkeeper instead of expert. I never considered myself an expert by any means, but the master bookkeeper is too akin to master baker!  What is that about! Or am I seeing things after just watching a really funny episode of the Great British Bake off  for Sport Relief

plus I'm mrs bookkeeper as Im not a male under 16!!  I'm not even 16 in my head any more mores the pity!!!

how very odd.

is this new Mr Mod?

Firstly, congrats ofn the achievement. One of the few to get that far (free gold star and lifetimes supply of get out of jail free cards).

secondly, no it's not new.

the progression is :

Up to 4 posts = Newbie (Red Tick)

Over 5 posts = Member (Black Tick)

Over 25 posts = Veteran Member (Gold Star)

Over 100 posts = Senior Member (Red Star)

Over 500 posts = Guru (Circled Star)

Over 1500 posts = Expert (Medal)

Over 2500 posts = Master Book-keeper (Coin)

Master Book-keeper doesn't fit on the same line as Moderator which is why mine didn't change.

Personally as names I think that they are all mixed up as I think Guru and Master Bookkeeper are the wrong way around.

I think that there should also be a different medal at 500 posts for if you ask 500 questions rather than answer 500 questions... lol.

I don't like it!!! image.jpg  I want my medal back.....it's the only I've ever had, apart from all my tap dancing medals!!!!

actually it is interesting seeing the info laid out like that.

i agree, a different title is a good idea for those who ask, but don't participate in providing replies, but would imagine that would be awkward to implement.

Loving the idea of get out of jail free cards!!!!! Now I can stop being a goody two shoes!!!

To be honest Shaun, it might be an idea to rename them. how can you be a veteran after 25 posts???  I don't think our Joanne will take kindly to being a master bookkeeper when she becomes an accountant (ACCA Jo ACCA hehehe)  Agree that we shouldn't be sexist either, so I expect to see Master changed to Mistress within the day biggrinbiggrin I have heard that she likes whipping, even if it's only with cream lol.

And although I'm listed as a guru in no way can i be described as one, still got heaps to learn.

I should be seeing Steve next month so I'll see what he says about potential changes...

I would suggest :

Up to 49 posts = Newbie (Red Tick)

Over 50 posts = Member (Black Tick)

Over 100 posts = Veteran Member (Gold Star)

Over 500 posts = Senior Member (Red Star)

Over 1500 posts = Core Member (Circled Star)

Over 2500 posts = Expert (Coin)

Over 5000 posts = Guru (Medal)

I don't think that people should be able to have links in their signatures until they move up to Member.

I would lose Master Book-keeper as I don't think that bookkeeping (work up to trial balance) is necessarily representitive of the membership of this site.

Nothing wrong with Book-keeping. I just don't think that it is a representitive term that properly describes the cross section of membership here.
