Hello everyone, new here too

Hi,

Last year I started working for my husbands company (small IT company). I did a bookkeeping course (Book-keeping level II, modules 1, 2 and 3. And a Sage 50 Accounts, because I work with Sage 50 Accounts). We do however have a chartered accountants firm who do the year end accounting and other complicated stuff.

I mainly process supplier invoices,  invoice our customers, payroll and do the quarterly VAT return.

But boy, am I glad there is such a thing as google search. Already for quite some (Sage) queries I found the answer through the net. And came across this forum often. I thought it was time to join you. aww

Kind regards, Laurine

Hi Shaun and John,

I wonder where you got the name Maaike from?  Although that is my name, for the forum I would like to use my middle name (Laurine). And I thought I had set that up? So that only that name is visible and people would know me as Laurine here? Or did I do something wrong? hmm

Kind regards, Laurine

Anyone can click on your user name and it displays your details.

Generally people use different userids to their names and refering top someone by the username seems a little rude. i.e I would call Alison, alison, not meadowlands. Same with John is not Ledger, Julie is not Haymac, Joanne is not Cheshire, etc.

If you put the name that you want to be known as in your signature then people will refer to you as that.

HTH,

Shaun.

Hi Laurine
Just can also just add your name under the line at the bottom of your postings - go to your profile and then 'signature'. You can see a few of us (above) have done that, although you cant see it on all the smartphones forum access.
