Taxcalc vs Taxfiler
Permalink Closed

Has anyone switched from taxcalc to taxfiler?  I would be interested to know any pros and cons.  I've used taxcalc for a few years and am very happy with it but I've just had a look at taxfiler and it looks pretty good and is much cheaper.  So I'm really looking for any reasons I wouldn't want to switch.

Thanks

Used to use Taxcalc myself until June last year when switched to IRIS.  Only reason I moved was Taxcalc didnt have proper practice management, time and fees and mail merging.  I thought the accounts production and tax modules were really good, easy to use and inexpensive.

If you think taxcalc is expensive you should look at the price of IRIS.

Given you will likely be quiet for a few months why not run the 2 alongside each other and see if the cost saving of taxfiler is worth it.

Plenty on accountingweb rave about Taxfiler.
