PAYE to Directors Loan Account

Good morning,

I have been refreshing myself on Payroll, not may favorite subject I'm afraid.

Prior to RTI  a Directors monthly salary was "paid" into his loan account.

Is this still acceptable with RTI?

For instance if the loan account is in debit would this fall foul of the "on or before rule" for RTI

Hopefully I am overthinking this, as usual?

Hi Jay,

the director has been paid, they just didn't take the money out of the company.

The payment was still made on a specific day so the RTI should be then or before

Think of RTI and the DLA seperately rather than parts of the same process.
