Hi it has been a while since I have done a CIS return, do I enter the gross or net pay on HMRC? I assume it's net and then materials and then tax deducted but thought I had better check.

You need to enter the gross payment (but net of vat if applicable).

Hi Sammy
Have you seen this thread - was just next to yours actually. Gordon gives some great advice. I used the HMRC website when I started out on CIS - absolutely worth a good read and shows you how to deal with your exact scenario with examples.
