VT assistance required please

Good evening all,

Working late and probably overthinking things.

I do not deal with Payroll though choice but like to keep involved.

2015/2016 Payroll -  SPP and compensation claimed by way of  FPS.

HMRC will deal with refund after April.

Cannot get the postings for the SPP compensation right.

Any guidance welcome.

Personally I would put Payroll in Room 101.

Jay

Hi Jay
Is this a 'how to key in VT' or more a how to do the double entry kind of query?

Im a complete novice on VT so I might not be able to assist - but hopefully bumping this post might?!

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Good afternoon,

Thank you for you reply and the "bump". That was  kind of you.

The last time I was involved regularly with PAYE I was using  free pay books etc, so many years ago.

I am in a Partnership where I concentrate  only on Assessed Taxes, where as my partner also deals with all Payroll.

I do try to keep ahead of Payroll changes  but in this case HMRC are to pay a Ltd Company compensation with regard to Maternity payments.

I was (as usual)  thinking far to much but prepared the journal and all was as expected.

However my partner was off for a few days and I was really seeking a second opinion before they returned confuse

Partners back, (suntanned) and agreed it was correct.

Again thank you for your time.

best wishes

Jay
