Partnership Tax Return software

Hi,

I know I posted on here a while back about partnership tax return software but Ive got to make a descion about which one I use so would be greatful for some help.

At the moment I use Andica. I don't have a problem with it and it's cheap. I only have the one partnership  but I don't like the format of Andica when you print it off. It doesn't resemble a partnership tax return at all . I know it's approved by HMRC but my  client frowned when I presented it to him as it doesn't resemble a partnership tax return as we know it.  Just recently I picked up a new partnership client and they have given me a set of last years accounts and the tax return. (Which resembles a partnership tax return until like Andica.

So, can anyone recommend a software? I downloaded Ftax and it looks ok, fairly reasonably priced but I've read the support isn't that good. Tax calc seems to get the thumbs up but it's a lot more expensive and as I now only 2 partnerships it seems expensive for my needs

Any ideas?

Georgie

Hi Georgie

Have a look at Taxfiler.  it's only £12 a month and can do Ltd, Partnerships and Sole Traders.  Theres a 30 day trial so you could have a look at it and see if its suitable or not.

Hi John

Yes that looks ok, although it looks pretty straightforward and user friendly is the support any good? And I am being really picky here but I couldn't see anything you could print off for the AIA / WDA calculations....Does it have this function?

I use TaxCalc and I love it, it's just like filling out a paper return. I only have 6 partnerships which isn't an option to buy on the site but if you call them up you can order the software for 10 partnerships to save money

I've heard the support is pretty good, but I've never used it - yet.  If you right click with your mouse you should be able to print from the calculation screen.  Attached is an example to show you.

Hi Georgie,

Another vote for taxfiler. Very easy to use and economical. I used to use Andica before and I changed for the same reason. I actually find Taxfiler quicker though and it stores all your clients returns in one place year on year, which I think is better than Andica.
