Hi everyone I am qualified up to old level 3 bookkeeping and work in the finance dept of a global transportation company. I've been fully qualified since Feb this year and have been in this job since 2014. I originally worked in catering and started retraining 3 years ago. I originally wanted to work for myself but then I thought it would be best to get practical experience working with a firm. I am about to start studying payroll and once I have that I may start looking for small clients to work on. I'm not sure though as I do love my job and I have a lot of variety and it does keep me busy. I am based in Glasgow.

Hi Jo,

welcome to the forum.

I assume that by level 3 bookkeeping you are talking about ICB?

Sounds as though you have a sound plan to get the right experience.

I would not rush to leaving a job that you love but it never hurts to have a plan B.

Good luck and look forwards to chatting as tyou progress your plans.

kindest regards,

Shaun.

Hi Jo
Belated welcome and thanks for the update. So dare I ask - where does the restaurant job fit in - is this one small client that you look after as well as doing your day job? If you can go back to that other post I have added some bits for you!
