Need help with Xero !
Permalink Closed

Hi

The charity I work for has gone over to Xero, mainly because it is compatible with the software we

use for our booking system and the powers that be decided this was most important.

I am struggling to get to grips with it and wondered if there was anyone on here who would be

willing to answer a few questions for me, I'm going round and round in circles trying to import

my suppliers from Sage without any success. i managed to import my customers so i don't understand

why I'm having this problem.

Hope someone has the time and inclination to help!

Eunice

Hi Eunice
I dont use Xero, but do know that they have 24/7 free support as do SageOne cloudy stuff. When I say free - of course I dont really mean free as its part of the extortionate monthly fee costs, but I think its the only good thing about them both! As long as you get a good helper on the phone you should be ok. If you get a right nugget - just ring them back later.

Im sure there will be some others along later, but if you are working today at least then you arent waiting around for peeps.

HTH
PS - dont you just love the fact that bookkeeping is secondary (or rather LAST) to everything else!

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Easiest way to import creditors is to download the import download in Xero then complete that and import that.

Alternative to that is to manually add them.

You will also need import the sales and purchase invoices that are outstanding when you transfer over.
