Accessing/Viewing clients Bank accounts?
Permalink Closed

One of my monthly bookkeeping clients would rather I accessed their bank accounts myself online to get the statement details & possibly help with payments of suppliers etc.

Does anyone have this sort of access on their clients banks? Is there a special limited account access available? Their account is with Barclays if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Lyndsey

Hi Get them to phone their business manager and ask for view only access for the Online banking for someone who is no currently on the Bann mandate. They will send out some forms to your client, once filled in efc you can them acces via any PC.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

Cools thanks Joanne! I thought that would be the case, I do recall something when I signed up to Barclays years ago, but as its only me on the account I never really thought about it at the time.

Thanks Lyndsey
