Hi everyone I'm would appreciate some advice on which course would be best for me. I have 7 years experience being employed as a finance manager for 3 different companies (I have no qualifications only experience. And have proven to be quick at learning) I have now started with a new company where the accounts need preparing up to trail balance and so I feel now I would like to have a decent qualification as there's plenty I still don't know and also things I feel sketchy on. I would also like to at some point offer my services locally as a self employed bookkeeper. Can anyone offer me some advice with the course which would be best for me please? Thanks in advance.
Hi Kerry
AAT, every time as a start point. Given your background you could probably start at level 3. Do the skills test on their website and it will tell you, take a print and show to a training provider. You can offer bookkeeping under their new AATQB licence once you have finished level 3, or move on to level 4 and do personal tax etc. AATQB only allows up to TB anyway, but is quite restrictive after that.

Ps pls add your first name to just below the signature bar(via edit my profile section)-saves people looking it up every time

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
