Dear all,

I would like to attend ADP Freedom software training which ADP provides and I have a few questions but I am struggling to get through to them.  I would like to do it with my own means and not through the company.

I was wondering if anyone here knows any other providers that do ADP Freedom software training?

Thank you.

Or perhaps anyone took the software training through ADP?

Is training any good?

Hi Irina,

personally I had not heard of ADP before so don't take the lack of responses personally. Most people here will either use one of the standard packages (12pay, Moneysoft, Sage Payroll) or if they work with larger clients / payroll bureau's bespoke sollutions. I would imagine that the readership that have used ADP is very small.

You might try posting the same question over on Aweb. They can play a bit rough over there but I think that you are more likely to find someone who has used this software (not saying that we have noone but just wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a response).

Sorry not a more positive response.

Kindest regards,

Shaun.

Me too. Never heard of it. There are lots of others out there, many with free training linked to them

 Hi Irina

Ive never heard of them neither.    But based on your comment above I would be tempted to say dont touch them with a bargepole....if you cannot get through when considering buying their product then what use will they be when you really need their help when trying to finish off the payroll on a tight timescale!   Although I could be being unfair to them as I dont know when you tried.

Most of the recommends on here are for Moneysoft (some also for 12pay and Brightpay) - you will also generally find the same on AWeb.

What has drawn you to them?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

Hi Chesire,

The reason I want to learn ADP Freedom is that it is quite a popular software and lots of companies use it.

My knowledge of different payroll software is quite limited and it would be good to learn more.

Chesire, I like that name, best pronounced as shesire, makes it sound exotic!!

Hi Irina

I don't think it's that popular, given that none of us have even heard of it, although  I appreciate it's aimed at individual companies rather than a bureau type offering (Moneysoft, 12 pay and Brightpay)

Is it expensive? I looked on the Company website but no pricing. It also looks like it has HR ( hate that expression) functionality built in.

Hi John,

Yes, that is right it is also has HR functionality.

I am not sure how much it costs to install the software, I was just interested in training courses as I know that quite a few job vacancies mention the ADP Freedom experience.
