Ok here goes

Previous vat return was submitted for 2 months February and March as company were going into cessation. Cessation has now been delayed so I have to submit a vat return for April and May to July. April being a correction.  I am using Sage and wanted to know the easiest way to submit April along with May to July.

Thanks

Can you run a single month for April, and add it to May to July?
Or, run SDB & PDB for April, and add to May to July?

Or, run Feb to July, and subtract the previous figures.

Prior to April bookkeeping was done on excel so last vat return I submitted on HMRC website. I have run April alone then May to July but cannot submit via Sage as how I would include April that I have already run. My other option was to submit via the HMRC website but I cannot see anywhere on HMRC that I can add April as an adjustment.

You cannot adjust a submitted Return online, so you must do any adjustment before submitting.
You can include April figures on the May to July Return on the HMRC site - the adjustment is included within the Return. If the net VAT for April is less than £10k, then you do not need to notify HMRC separately.

I was going to include Aprils figure in the May to July return online but after speaking to an Advisor today he mentioned resubmitting and deducting what I had already paid which really confused me. Net vat is under 2k. I mentioned this to the advisor who told me to complete a 652 form?.

No need for a VAT 652, as the adjustment is less than £10k.
Do include the April figures on the P07/17 Return; and print out this forum thread for your file.
