I think you'll find there are a number of folk on here who provide a data conversion service for less money and with a quicker turnaround than you'd typically experience if you asked Sage to convert your data.
There's a Sage help page dealing with this at http://ask.sage.co.uk/scripts/ask.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=15535
If I'm reading it right:
Sage 2009 (v15) data can also be used in in any version from v16 to v22. Your data would be converted to v16 to v22 format when the v15 backup is restored into the v16 to v 22 Sage. Then, your v16 to v 22 backup can be restored into any later version, including the latest v24 (2018).
Hi Ian
Thats how I read it, although Ive always had 5year increments in my head.
Hi Sue
Two questions -
1) How many licences (ie clients) have you got on the Sage you are using.
2) Do you actually need to convert? Guess that in part depends on the answer to the above but also as to the volume of information for each client held on the old sage.
I know and can recommend someone who can help you out.

Hi Ian, yes thanks for that, really appreciate the information.
The version of Sage I will be buying will have to be from ebay or some other second hand seller.
I have seen one version 2013 so I think, given your reply, I will be ok restoring my data.
Of course if anything goes awry, I will get someone form the forum to help.
Hi Joanne
thank for your reply
I only need a single user for this (it's the clients own copy)
I don't think I will need to convert as I didn't realise that such later versions would be compatible.
I am bidding on a sage 2013 so just hope I am lucky !
