Hi all

You can tell its April 6th

Got a phone call earlier from a client asking " Hi Doug, if I drop all my paperwork around to you later do you reckon you will be able to get my tax return submitted today as I could really do with the refund"

As Vince would say FFS

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

I've had my usual suspects ring up this week to ask if I can do their tax returns but none have demanded the same day.  The only one I was going to have to speed through I made sure I had all paperwork up to a couple of weeks ago and the rest he's giving me on Monday just to finish off. Had he phoned me today for first time I would have said there's a two week timescale to do the paperwork but I'll see what I can do - no promises though.

I do like Joannes idea though!

I did tell him to drop the paperwork in over the weekend and I would get on to it as soon as I could but stressed that I do actually have other clients

I like Joanne's idea as well but I reckon he would probably have cried

Already have 6 Ltd company paperwork dropped off, and  9 sole traders paperwork.

Ltd companies will be fine as we do the VAT quarterly and also the Payroll.

However this is the VAT quarter month for all our VAT clients so will be busy.

Wonder how pressure may increase with MTD when ( if ) all clients are quarterly returns?
