Ebay - Best 3rd party software for VAT accounting
Permalink Closed

Hi i have an ebay account VAT registered but the sad thing with ebay/ paypal is they don't have any reports which show the vat element breakdown.

You can only get a total figure ie £20 for a sale it doesn't show a breakdown with the VAt figure charged so i have to manually work out the sales per month and split to 20% and 5% Vat and then remove from the total figure

How do people account for vat on ebay i sell 5% and 20% items over 3000 sales a month so hard to work out plus i can only save copys of invoices with vat displayed by pdf.

Linnworks is hard to link all listings up

Amazon you can download xl sheet per month or quater with a breakdown vat charged etc so easy going, why can't ebay paypal just do that

Any ideas help appreciated or best 3rd party software to drag info from ebay

Jay

Oh go on, you haven't had a joke from me for a while.

Two nuns driving through the countryside when a vampire jumps out on them. "Quick" said one nun, show him your cross. So the other nun winds the window down and shouts "Get out of the way you %$£^&*^! idiot"

Lol Doug.  You've reminded of the new years eve we went to my sister in laws friends house.  I'd had about 5 cans of John Smiths then switched to Vodka and Coke.  The friends said help yourself and to save time I was doing doubles, finishing the evening off with a couple of trebles.  They were on a optic thingy.  I must have had slightlytoo many because I ended up staggering outside and next door to my sil's flat, where I promptly crashed out.  I found out the next day that the optic dispensed double measures!!!!

PS:  Nice one Shaun

Oh I bet you do!!  You were asked 2 questions and despite logging on afterwards, didn't answer them.  This site isn't for the general public but for those in the accountancy profession to discuss and help each other out.

He was so incensed he deleted his account! Not!   Typical response from a busines owner not getting his own way, stamping his foot like a three year old.

Evening Joanne,

why does this seem like a mouse shouting at a gathering of cats telling them they know absolutely nothing about mice.

At least he's now going off to see an accountant so we've had a positive effect on this persons business (and also the accountants) so well done all.

With a business turning over enough to be VAT registered, I wonder how much he couldve saved by employing the services of an Accountant much earlier.
