We need HELP-ADVICE here!

Hello forum,

We need some guidance-help here!

We are from Greece, and we registered a new business in the UK.

So far, so good.

Here is the tricky point. Our supplier is from Greece and in order to send us products to the UK he needs our VAT number to issue an invoice.

As a newly registered business in the UK, we don't have a VAT because is not mandatory.

In that case, what can we do in order to start doing business in the UK?

Any advice is precious!

Thanks

Advice- get yourself a qualified accountant who understand import VAT.

Tell the exporters you are not registered.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

The best advice would be to engage the services of an accountant which you should have done before starting the business

Just because your not VAT registered does not mean you cant do business
