Hi

Does anyone have any experience of trailing Avalara's MTD filter?  Apparently it is a free product that allows you to file VAT returns via a spreadsheet rather than one of the products like Sage.  It sounds a good solution for smaller VAT registered clients who run on spreadsheets rather than on quickbooks, sage etc.

I am tempted to try it but thought I would put the feelers out on here first..

Thanks.

Hi Tony

I got an email from them yesterday to test it if I've got a VAT return within the next 30 days.  Unfortunately my next VAT returns are due by 7th February.  If I can I will trial one of them during January, once I have all the relevant info from the client.

Ive got a few this month. One I keen to test and was going to via one of the big four software ended up as a no go as my client didnt give permission for release of info! Shame that as this one is a margin scheme.

Does Avalara cope with the margin scheme Tony? (Im being lazy not looking it up!)

Sorry for the delay in response, work pressures.

TBH, I was being slightly blinkered so I am not sure if it does or not.  I am hoping to trail it on the next return.
