It's not the fact it's a negative that is preventing it from filing, your SFP is wrong and on the face of it potentially breaking the Companies Act law.

Suggest you see an Accountant as such mistakes early on can cause big headaches down the line when you are trying to extract shareholder value (assuming its ever profit making) and save on tax.

Yes.

But note - it is not the last day.

Go to an Accountant tomorrow and get them to buy you some more time (which is so very easy).

This is a site for professional bookkeepers and Accountants Im afraid, but there is no need to panic, you can easily get sorted with the suggestion Ive made.

Right, so, this company is proposed to be strike off, from today last day, so I need to submit this accounts ASAP, to allow to be strike off after that from tomorrow, as was not operated from a while and I did nt sent any reports from more than a year.

Anyone know from that values, what need to be placed in Company Houses, please?

My crystal ball stopped working today!

What was the date of the first gazette notice?
What was the date of the second gazette notice?

Have you personally taken funds from this business? In ANY way?

What about the shares?

Lots of o/s Qs!

Nothing, from almost a year, was not operated.

But I have that previsions account to be submitted first,

The first notice was 2 months ago that will be strike off, now I made the accounts, I show that are no assets, was somehow 1200 assets on it, I submit the VAT and now I need to submit the Accounts, on Company House and CT600 to HMRC.

And after, to make the declaration that is not trading anymore and send an email to company house agreeing that should be strike off.

Have also around 1000£ penalties from HMRC for late submission and presumably will be more, but if I send the letter to strike it off and will be accepted, that penalties should go away.

The problem is with this account that need to be submit and somehow is not fine for the Company House to accept a negative balance:
Attached is the Balance, Profit and Loss and the Company House Balance waiting to be submit.

Any ideas what is wrong and what values need to be placed on Company House?

Right, so today is NOT, NB NOT, absolutely NOT the last day for submitting if the only notice was 2 months ago/you have given correct info!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could be losing tax by not doing this properly but more to the point why would ANYONE on here help you for free when we are in business to make a living.

You DO, note DO, have time to go and find an Accountant tomorrow and get this sorted and resolved properly.

The accounts you have prepare are completely wrong!!   You need a professional.....one who has spent years learning their trade.

THIS IS A FORUM FOR PROFESSIONALS, not for folk to get free advice.

Yes, but, that reports are coming from Clear Books. The last one, from Company House, is an excel with some formulas made by an accountant to help me in submissions to Company House.
I made a course for book keeping, I am a certified book keeper actually.

What did you sell the fixed assets for? To whom?

I cant even begin to list the items that are wrong - the list is longer than your expenses list!

Hi John

Are you wanting the company to be struck off?  If you are don't worry too much about submitting the figures to Companies House.  HMRC will more than likely  object because a CT600 hasn't been filed. I would definitely get that filed but there are anomalies in the accounts which will need to be corrected first.  Two that immediately spring to mind are £400 Corporation Tax although you made a loss and what has happened to the £1200 fixed assets you had?

Hi John R
I asked about the FA, but didnt get an answer.

I will pass on emailing you John (OP) as Ive no capacity. You had an Accountant though, so why not go back to him/her as they will know the file and presumably still having working papers and logins so it will make it a lot quicker to sort?

Ditto, it's December in less than a week so thoughts are turning to self assessments, and I've got 3 Ltds to do by end of Dec. (although 2 are virtually complete)

Hi my friend, I have the attached the Balance, Profit and Loss and separate, Balance to Company House and CT600.

I think I fix it, that corporation tax I still paid 200 pounds, so I added, I don t know for what really, but I paid it.

The problem is, when I try to submit this balance, the company house say that are errors. Anyone know why is this?

No

THE PROBLEM is - you just keep changing numbers and frankly making it up to file any old crap at Co House.

THE PROBLEM is - the numbers are COMPLETELY WRONG.

THE PROBLEM is - we DO NOT ANSWER BUSINESS OWNERS on here for free.

THE PROBLEM is - it is NOT just about the CT you paid, but what is (over)due.

THE PROBLEM is  - you are very clearly NOT a certified bookkeeper.  If you are then I think they should strip you of that certification re the absolutely obvious basic (ie simple) errors you are making.

THE PROBLEM is - you still have not answered the Qs that we have asked.     If you were to become a client of anyone on here then they would expect you answer basic questions AS THEY ARE ASKED.

One of those questions in particular highlights a basic error you have made (or three).    DO NOT ANSWER it now - no further help is being given to you on this site, other than to say:-

THERE ARE MANY MANY MORE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR INFORMATION.

 and

GO AND PAY FOR AN ACCOUNTANT.

Mr Mod - can we close this thread, its a joke!

So you now have different figures.  Joanne's advice is sound, go and see an accountant.

Tut, and there I was, got my pop corn, just sitting down to spectate and you've told me to close it...

Sad as it makes me to disrupt this evolving comedic work I do suppose that we all have work to do so best pull the plug before it starts getting nasty... Or maybe I'll let the poster respond as there may still be opportunity here to save the client.

The line for me really that spoke volumes was " I don t know for what really, but I paid it"...

Paying the wrong amount based on an incorrect filing as a result of insufficient knowledge to be handling client accounts does not gain any brownie points from HMRC when they review the filings... Or more to the point, when their computer systems identify an anomaly in the filed paperwork.

To fix you would need an accountant willing to roll this back to basics, review all bookkeeping work against verifiable receipts, invoices and bank statements, rereconcile everything, prepare accounts and tax returns and be willing to negotiate with HMRC on your behalf. Personally not interested not least as I don't think that your client would be looking to pay the sort of money that I would charge but you may get people on here to consider taking this off you. Just don't expect it to be cheap.

I'm not banning your userid as I do think that you need help but not help to do it yourself, rather help finding someone to take this over from you.

I would advise perhaps considering studying AAT if you are looking to go beyond trial balance.

Shaun.

Hi Shaun,

The poster was looking for a quick fix on Sunday to file his balance sheet the same day, but as you rightly pointed out the accounts need redoing from scratch.

On the second lot of figures the plant had disappeared and the corporation tax reduced to £200, with no real explanation a) why it was even paid in the first place and b) why it changed

I think it was at that time that I gave up. smile

Now that's bad, using an old post to insert spam on something I said.  Can you remove the link please Shaun, both above and the post that this idiot has doctored.

Whoa, that was a sneaky one. Worth banning reinstating then banning again for that... I see that they have made two posts so will clear up the other one as well.

I'll get it sorted but am in the middle of trying to run a years worth of management reports... quite litterally... 365 of the f*ckin things to ensure that the macro that I've developed is bullet proof... By the way, when I say macro think of something around the size and complexity of VT! Needs to be processed daily to ensure that no process is missed or runs on the wrong day... Sounds easy, right... You would think that any idiot would design their processing so that thing run on specific days but oh no, not this site that I'm at. I have to program in things like ensuring that it has the ability to run report x 7 working days before report y. Or process every third thursday, and ensure that the whole lot can be changed without letting end users anywhere near the actual data...

Well, that was my Christmas week when I wasn't hearding grandchildren or trying not to kill other relatives (I deserve a medal for that. One of the relatives is definitely a death eater as when they walk in the room all joliety disappears and windows start to freeze up).

Any road up, cheers for pointing this one out, I'll sort this out in the next hour or so when I set the next macro off.... fun, fun fun :D

Laters,

Shamus.
