Employee pension contributions different in NEST
Permalink Closed

Im a bookkeeper for a small limited company with 12 employees.

Our weekly payroll is run by our accountants using Sage They provide us with a breakdown of payroll elements and also send data to NEST for those of our employees enrolled in the workplace pension.

I have noticed that sometimes the pension contributions for an employee shown on the Sage analysis are different to those shown in NEST. This difference is only 1p per occasion and whilst this is negligible, I would have thought that Sage & NEST would both be using the same rounding algorithm.

Has anyone experienced anything like this ?

All advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi there,

Bit late I know, but just come across this post.

I had this today.  I had to amend an employee's NEST contributions on the website as they were paid an extra amount of holiday which increased their pensionable pay.  I amended the pensionable pay on the NEST website and then ticked the "Auto calc" button.  It calculated the employee's contribution as 1p less than the Moneysoft payroll software calculated it as, so I just amended it manually.
