VT MTD update

Email in from VT this morning

''We are pleased to announce that we have completed our work on implementing MTD for VAT into VT Transaction+ and VT Cash Book.
We have recently demonstrated the software to HMRC and have been given permission to commence live testing.
We are confident that we will have the software ready for general download by 15 May 2019.
We would like to emphasise that MTD is only mandatory for VAT periods commencing on or after 1 April 2019''

That's excellent news Joanne, was getting a little worried when someone posted the other day that it wouldn't be ready til July.

Thanks Joanne, good to know.

I've decided to use the bridging software by Neilson James as it's the most cost effective for my business at the moment.  Really easy to use.

That was my original plan before VT announced they were doing MTD.  I've found out today that Taxfiler have added bridging software as well.  We're spoilt for choice lol.
