Not so long ago I received confirmation that my MLR renewal had been accepted at long last, today I receive an email telling me its up for renewal again at the end of April, and so the saga begins again.
They have also asked me to confirm if or if not I had paid for the one off £40 approval fee last time, which I have not because it was never asked for, but it seems that their systems do not have this on record and feel they have to ask.

Hi Doug
I went through this again at the beginning of January and it didn't ask about the approval fee. At the beginning of Feb I got an email saying I needed to update my info...and during that process I had to pay the £40 fee!!
My status was changed to 'Supervised' last week - much better than the 10 months it took last year

They keep making the system idiot proof but then make bigger and better idiots!
Mine went in a couple of weeks ago, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes, but that's good news if yours only took a couple of months Janet.
He he look at our profile pics, right bunch of alcofrolics aren't we

Oh Doug, pay that fee now. Isnt that the one that goes to £150 next month? I cannot remember, read it, forgotten it already!!!!! Memory going!!!!!!! Not enough gin. Im not a fan normally but tried one with raspberry and ginger, mixed with a little ginger ale on a night out at weekend and was kinda hooked! Still, cant beat the espresso martinis though.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

I renewed on Wednesday, but having filled out the forms and telling them that I still had not paid the approval fee on completion, they still only asked for the £130 which I paid.
As far as I am aware the hike up to £150 next month is only for the Fit & Proper test and the approval test stays at £40, not had time to read up properly but that was my thinking (hopefully)

You're right Doug. I've been approved but they've not asked for the 40 quid yet.
