Good morning everyone

Just a quickie

When changing an ARD with Companies House do I need to inform HMRC as well or does that happen automatically?

Hi Doug

It does and it doesn't!!  I think HMRC are informed but they will go on what dates you put on your CT600

Ah, yes HMRC are supposed to pick it up from companies house, but its hit and miss. You could write to them, but its probably more trouble than its worth although if you were extending the date I would suggest this otherwise the fines will start to drop. HMRC will accept whatever goes on the CT600 for moving it back as far as Im concerned.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
