I reluctantly agreed to process PAYE for one of my clients, usually steer well away from this but as it was only for 1 x employee !!
They have applied for and received an advance payment of SMP and I am about to process first RTI via HMRC Basic PAYE (their choice), now do I process via FSP or ESP ?
How will you apply the payslip, as unless BT have updated their system for the new regs, my understanding is that they were not available on that software.
Might be worth persuading you client to pay for a Moneysoft (or other software) licence as the cost might be less than you manually producing payslips?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
Hi Julie, you've sussed it I think based on your reply but the SMP goes down on the payslip and RTI'd by FPS and you also identify the payment made and the 3% allowance (assuming a small employer) as an EPS.
Moneysoft has a section where you enter this but having never used Basic PAYE I don't know if they have summat similar.
