Hi all

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a new client checklist please? I am a virtual assistant also offering basic bookkeeping and need to have something in place for compliance.

TIA

Hi ???

So hows about an intro before we start. We always ask newbies! Usual stuff - what prof body do you belong to, do you work for yourself or in a practice/ firm, are you a bookkeeper or accountant, what qualifications, who is your MLR with, how long in role, where up to in your studies-what exams passed/with what body/in midst of doing, where based, what you did before this role? That sort of thing. Helps get to know you but also how best to pitch answers.

Also can you add your first name so that it appears under the signature bar on your posts? I normally say it saves everyone looking it up each time, but your profile page also seems to be devoid of a name for some reason.   Saves folk calling you 'oi you'wink!! (Edit profile --->signatures)

I wondered that as well Kevin. Thanks for clarifying.

If the OP comes back on and confirms what Im asking I could direct him/her to a free version.

Or of course I could sell mine.wink

No response.

I do hope OP that you have MLR cover, even for basic bookkeeping, otherwise you can be fined/imprisone when they catch up with you, which they will eventually.if you haven't got it, sort that out before you do ANYTHING else.

Hi Joanne!
Sorry to jump in on this - any chance you can point me the direction of a free link for the client checklist?

Thank you!

Hi Coles
I can see you have been back on this morning - can you answer our Qs? Its absolutely no problem if you are QBE but we need to understand the position especially re MLR.

Then I can direct you to a free version. Unless you want to pay for my version (cheaper than the link given , but still not free)

Been back on again. Flogging a dead horse Joanne.

Not a single acknowledgement. Not even a thank you to Kev.

Rude. Hope they are not that rude with their clients.

Clearly breaking the law acting as a bookkeeper with no MLR.
