Hi

Have a QuickBooks Online client who uses the add on Go Cardless App.  They set up clients on D/D via QBO and the info can be seen via the 'Lists/All lists' function in QBO.   Can normally also see the clients who have been sent info to set up a D/D but who have not yet signed up.

The lists in QBO have all disappeared. QBO have checked both my Accountants portal and the clients own acess and cannot explain why nothing is showing (and why nothing can be dragged from Go Cardless via the import facility).  The GC app is still showing as connected on QBO.  They suggested I speak to GC.

GC cannot explain neither. They have confirmed all looks ok from their perspective and have confirmed its still connected to QBO and went further to suggest its never been disconnected.

The problem has now been escalated between the two.

Just wondered if anyone else had ever come across this issue and if so can suggest any resolution?

Im not having much luck with this software!!     I have a dent in my head where its hit the desk a few times!!

Even QBO and Go Cardless are still struggling to fix this one!

Had you not already raised it with both providers and said they're unable to explain it, I would have suggested experimenting with a different web browser* (I'm assuming QBO is web-based, not desktop software that interfaces with a remote server).

But you have raised it and said they can't explain it, so I doubt that's the answer. (It's possible both of them use the same browser set up as you/each other, but I'd expect them to have the sense to try different combinations.)

* I'm seeing increasing signs - very small, infrequent, but definitely on the increase - of websites catering to specific browsers again. The bad old days of the late 1990s/early 2000s.

Yep, I can't help with the quickbooks query but a document exchange service would not work at all with Firefox. Just got a spinning timer for ten mins. I spoke to the helpdesk of the company who had requested that I use the link to tell them that their system was not working. They contacted their IT department who filtered back the message that nothing was wrong and to just use a different browser.

My response was that if they are too lazy to get the software working with a standard browser then they were probably also too lazy to ensure that the portal was secure so I would not be using their services.

Got some snotty response from the (not so) helpdesk telling me that I had to use the service to transfer the documents to which I simply told them that if their system was not good enough to receive the documents then I saw no point at all doing business through them.

Perhaps not the response that they were expecting but I've got a scout badge for being a stroppy git quite and quite happy to pick my ball up and take it home with me. biggrin

Yes QBO is web based - its one of those cloudy things that LOADS of folk on here banged on about being so good.

I stupidly thought QBO banging on about their 'pro-advisor' option/practice management stuff meant I would also be able to complete clients accounts on it and file from there - hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. No!

The issue remains o/s - Ive found a professional person there though who at the very least is keeping me in the loop, so here's hoping!

You stroppy Shaun? Nah! Youre a pussycat! Although you have picked up your ball, taken it home and then stayed in the house of late - unless its to respond to some newbie ACCA peeps these days. Yeah, we know, youre busy. Me too - and Im just wasting time today faffing about so I should go and earn some dosh! Got to pay for that Caribbean shack somehow.
