Remember that the changes to IR35 are creeping ever closer. Anyone who has IT contractors on their books may need to be prepared to advise them on their next steps including the possibility of working through unbrella companies or the transition back to permanent employment which will of course reduce their dependance upon financial profressionals so there will be some knock on to ourselves.
This isn't just a thhreat to any contractors that you represent but also any companies that use contract staff.
Something you need to be aware of as April isn't so far away and now that Jan's over it's time to start planning for that. Just do a search of IR35 changes for all yopu need to know.
All the best,
Shaun.

Part of the thing I don't like about the IR35 changes are that the determination of a subbie's status is down to the contracting company. If the contractor decides to treat all of their subbies as if they're caught under IR35 then there's no come back, either they suck it up or go work for someone else.
Based on what I can find out, all our clients should be outside of IR35, but it depends on what their contractors decide...

A lot of the contractors are panicking and just taking the easy route.
