I would like to ask you for a favour. I recently wanted to go to aat forums website. When I click on link I get information that this website is unprotected and therefore it is impossible to enter this site. Can you do me a favour and click forums link on aat site and check if this link works ? Link to aat website is below. Link to forums is at the bottom of the page. There is grey 'ribbon' across the screen including links to twitter , facebook etc. Forums icon is the first from the left. It shows two ' clouds' -one on top of the other.

One of the sections of aat level 3 is chapter called ' final accounts preparations'. I tried to find some tutorials dealing with final accounts preparation but I couldn't. I wanted to ask people at aat forum if they know any youtube tutorials where people concentrate on final accounts preparation.
I answer questions on the AAT forum often (I know I'm a traitor) and it has been like this for about a week now, just tried again and it is still showing as 'not secure' although the rest of the site seems fine.
Maybe give them a ring Rafal or drop them an email, they may not be aware there is a problem

Im only messing with you. I bet, generally speaking, until the challenge the otehr day, that you get a quicker response on here.
Anyway...videos...always try to put First Intuition in the search option and you should find a few to assist you.
Here you go to start you off. Might be a couple cross pollinating there so to speak, but you will find more Im sure.
Also try search terms using the trainers names - Kaplan, Eagle etc do some revision type ones.
If you leave out the 'AAT level 3' search terms you will end up eith all sorts - but be careful that its up to date and relevant for the UK - Open Tuition is a good source. You look at F3 and F7 of ACCA as a subject search term.

You will also get some explanations on the AAT website via the student training section, not vidoes, but interactive walk through modules. Only try the greenlight tests when you think you are ready for the exam. They give an indication of whether you really are or not. Plus then you get a couple of test exam modules to work through.
thanks guys for replies . I use open tuition very often. They have good videos related to financial and managerial accounting. I recently found good video on incomplete records from AQA for accounting. Do you know guys who those people are and if books they offer are good ones ? I plan to buy those books because videos on youtube are based on those books and I like those videos.
Whose books are you using? BPP if I recall. Anyone else?
thanks for reply. You are right . I am using BPP books exclusively. Some part of those books are ok some parts are not too good. I remember people say that kaplan books are better. I only remember level 2 kaplan books . They were ok but they did very bad book on computerised accounting so I switched to BPP and never used kaplan books ever since. As far as AQA they do books you can find on the list under link. I mean four books with chameleon on the cover. Please tell me Joanne what those symbols mean I mean symbols like A , AS in the titles of the books.
Essentially AQA is an examination board/awarding body for exams in the UK working with schools.
Briefly, in the UK, pupils take exams at various ages, with the AQA involvement in the ones at age 16 (called GSCEs) and then age 18 (AS levels often taken at age 17 followed by the full A level at age 18, although that can vary.) Once schools pupils have finished their A levels they may then go on to University to complete a degree.
Broadly the AAT level 2 is equivalent to a GSCE, with level 3 equivalent to 2 A levels and level 4 is quivalent to a diploma/foundation degree (the 1st year of a degree). Essentially the AAT exams they are fully 'recognised' or accredited qualifications - each unit will earn you credits which may be used to gain other qualifications/count towards the professional qualifications. Level 2 AAT passes also provide you wil UCAS points - which is the points system used to get on to a full university course. The AAT courses are regulated by Ofqual in England, SQA in Scotland and Qualifications Wales, in well, Wales. See Ofqual for an idea register.ofqual.gov.uk/
You could view them as the stepping stones of education.
So the books that you have looked at in your link are covering the subject for A levels - ie for the 16-18 year school pupils and the exams at the end of it will be quite different. That said, you can never have too much learning in this game and the general knowledge you will get from the is never lost. Its a while since I have seen the AQA books for this subject - last time was when my son took the subject which is over 12 years ago, so Im probably quite a bit out of touch. But I do recall it took you right back to basics, but you shouldnt need that because you should still have all yoru level 2 books to go back to in case of need.
I would suggest you (re-)consider getting the Kaplan books. There are three that you can get in each set - the textbook (a bit dry, like BPP); the workbook (called the exam kit) which provides info and loads of examples to try and a little revision notes booklet (OK, but if you do your own cue cards, which I would recommend, then I dont think that one is worth getting unless it comes free). Why not try just one set of each textbook/workbook for whatever module you are struggling with and it you are happier with them you can order more? I posted a discount code on here a good while back for Kaplan books (order from Kaplan direct) - it was still working at least 12 months after it was issued so Im sure it will still be ok!). Will leave you to locate that. If you cant pop back on and I will dig it out as I have it at home and give it to students when I can!
Failing that, how about Osborne books. Not one Ive used myself. You can get access to free bit and free Q&As for levels 3 and 4 from their website, so you might want to check that out before you go further.
They fixed their certificate some time on 4th March. You can find the date of validity of the certificate by clicking on the padlock on Chrome. I always worry about this happening, but we are in the process of implementing software on our server that automatically updates the certificate (Lets Encrypt only allow certificates for 3 months anyway).
