Self-Employed/ Freelance Advice
Permalink Closed

Hello,

I'm looking for any snippets of advice from anyone who has gone self-employed or freelance.

I am CIMA qualified and worked as an employed finance manager for the past 19 years.

I was made redundant a month ago and would now really like to do freelance/self-employed bookkeeping.

I am about to train on some different software packages - Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and from then probably commence the ICB qualification. At the same time I am thinking about a business plan.

Has anyone here ever made this change from industry to self-employed? I would love to hear your do's and don'ts ....

Many Thanks

Donna
