Hi everyone

I'm wondering what's happening about Anti Money Laundering regulations whilst lockdown is going on. Does anyone know if there is an extension? Thank you.

 Hi Zoe

Not sure what you mean, an extension of what?

Because of Covid 19 I had heard there was a longer time to pay?

You have to renew it on the due date, but there is a 6 month payment extension if your renewal date is between 1st May and 30th September 2020

No need to do anything (apparently) just renew and not pay it.

I say apparently because my renewal was 30th September and I've had two reminders since to pay up.  Hopefully this is just a system glitch as I haven't been stopped from filing things yet.

Hi John,
Many thanks for your helpful reply. The first sensible one I've had!
Best wishes
Zoe

Maybe you should read your original question and then you may see why I asked 'what do you mean'? No mention of extra time pay! just a vague question on an extension about MLR

Bloody nerve!  Your first garbled question made no sense whatsoever. It indicated that  the actual 'act' had been extended.   Leger clearly guessed you meant cover by HMRC or more likely went back to your garbled responses on previous threads where it is obvious that respondents have had to pull teeth to get any kind of clear information from you to be able to give sensible answers, but after several tugs finally got out of you who your cover was with, this after clearly breaking the law for so many years by being in practice for so long and not having cover for many of them.  We would need physic powers to know who you have cover with HMRC.  As opposed to AAT, ACCA, ICAEW or one of the many other bodies.  I think it is a bit rich to criticse when you have given absolutely no help to anyone else on this forum and cannot hold yourself to be morally, ethically and professionally above others. Its all take take take. You should spend some time thinking about how your questions come across instead of making totally unjustified pops. That is ignoring the fact you could have easily found this out with a bit of searching but clearly it is easier to let others do your research for you.

Only because I was aware of Zoe's scenario, having taken advantage of the 6 month payment extension myself.  Without that I'd have been as clueless as you and Doug

Hardly fair on Doug and Sage. I'm sure they would have answered your question had you been more clear
