What SAGE tax code to use

Non director has bought fuel for his company vehicle and has lost the receipt. I can't claim VAT as no receipt so what tax code do I use T9 or T0?

Hi Doreen

We would recommend setting up a new tax code for suppliers not VAT registered or no VAT receipt, we recommend T10 to be flagged to be included on the VAT return. This reports in the same place on the VAT return as T0 and T2, so if you don't feel like setting up a new code, then we'd opt for T0 in your example above.

I wrote a blog about this here sageaccountssolutions.co.uk/2022/04/26/which-sage-50-tax-code-do-i-use-for-suppliers-not-vat-registered/
