Transitioning from qualification to paid employment

Hi all,

How are you finding the process of gaining employment having achieved your bookkeeping qualification?

I have recently completed the Level 2 Bookkeeping Certificate with the AAT. Employers of course want experience, which I cannot offer. Therefore I am keeping an eye out for trainee/apprenticeship opportunities. Trainee bookkeeping opportunities are few and few between and the one opportunity I have spotted in the last several months required a degree or diploma in accounting or similar, as an entry requirement! I have since decided it prudent to make my Level 3 studies the Accounting Diploma.

Look forward to hopefully connecting with you and your story...

Regards,

Lorenzo

Without meaning to sound rude, level 2 AAT is not a bookkeeping qualification.
