How / why would a company de-register for VAT? Is this something that is allowed - provided that the client is below the VAT registration threshold?

I have just run the VAT return wizard in sage. When I work out the vat due on the sales figures it gives, it is around £8 out and the same for purchases which is around £7 out. Would you bother trying to find these errors on a return where I will be paying out £20000 for the quarter? It only occurs on the 20% sale...

I have a client who submitted their own P35 for 2011/12, but forgot to enter the details of CIS deducted from their subcontractors. Is it possible for them to submit an amended P35 online or will they have to print a paper version and send it to HMRC?
